What We Believe
Here is a simple summary of what we believe…
- God is bigger and better and closer than we can imagine.
- God is interested in relationship, not religion.
- The Bible is God's perfect guidebook for living.
- Jesus is God showing Himself to us.
- Through His Holy Spirit, God lives in and through us now, making us more and more like Jesus.
- Nothing in creation "just happened." God made it all.
- Grace (being given what I don't deserve) is the only way to have a relationship with God.
- Faith (belief + trust) is the only way to grow in our relationship with God.
- God has a great individual purpose for each of us, and has given us unique gifts to make it possible.
- God has allowed evil to provide us with a choice.
- God can bring good even out of evil events, and God promises victory over evil to those who choose to follow Him.
- Heaven and Hell are real places, and real people really will spend eternity in one of those places.
- Death is a beginning, not the end.
- The church is God's family, here to serve people like Jesus served people.
- Jesus is coming again.
